The R-SAFE RFID safety switch

The safety switch featuring RFID technology and a high level of tamper protection.

The R-SAFE RFID safety switch is designed for contactless monitoring of protective devices and provides a high level of tamper protection in accordance with EN ISO 14119. Thanks to RFID technology, the sensors can be operated at different coding levels and achieve – even when connected in series – safety levels up to PL e / SIL 3.

The R-SAFE safety switch is suitable for both new machinery and retrofits and is fully mechanically compatible with the Magnus RFID and Magnus MG series. Whether for door, flap and hood monitoring or in interlinked safety structures – the R-SAFE is highly versatile and ideal for retrofitting into existing safety circuits.

It is particularly suitable for use in the food, packaging and process industries, where high hygiene standards are required.

Coding options:

• General: an actuator can be used with several sensors
• Individual: the actuator is permanently assigned to a specific sensor at the factory
• Teach-in: The actuator is programmed during commissioning; the assignment can be repeated

Variants:

• Basic modelautomatic restart, selectable coding type, standard status output / basic functions
• Plus model automatic restart, selectable coding type, customisable status output
• Pro model: manual/automatic restart, selectable coding type, serial status output

Multiple R-SAFE sensors can be connected in series without the need for individual wiring of the status outputs. The individual statuses can still be read, enabling a high level of diagnostic capability and easy integration into existing safety control systems (e.g. PROFIsafe).<\n>
