The combination of safety and operating elements in one device makes it possible to respond flexibly to a wide range of requirements - without compromising on safety or space requirements. You can customise tGard with the following options:

•   Signal lights for status indications
•   Button for request & acknowledgement
•   Emergency stop button
•   Selector switch

Thanks to its compact design of just 40 mm, tGard can be mounted directly on aluminium profiles, door structures or flat surfaces – without additional mounting plates or brackets. The various quick coupling connections ensure quick and easy installation.
The robust metal housing makes the tGard particularly durable and resistant – ideal for demanding environments. tGard fulfils safety requirements up to PLd and can also be used in applications up to PLe in future with an optional highly coded RFID actuator.

3 | Functions and applications of tGard - made for industry

The tGard safety switch fulfils the highest requirements for stability and durability. The compact system with metal body is IP65-certified and therefore reliably protected against dust and water. It fulfils the essential machine safety standards and is ideal for industrial applications with increased demands on reliability and resistance. tGard enables the configuration of various safety products - as required.

These include:
•   Electric safety gate switches (with or without locking device)
•   Mechanische Schlüsseltransfersysteme
•   Electrical operating elements

These functions can be implemented either as separate devices or as any combination within a single system.
The safety switch therefore offers a “'customer-specific safety solution as standard”'. Each order is customised from the modular system and can include the following components: Selector switches, safety switches (magnetic or mechanical), personnel keys, emergency releases, push buttons, emergency stop switches, indicator lights, operating handles for swing and sliding safety doors.

tGard's metal body is designed to include through-holes for quick installation - directly onto aluminium profiles, flat surfaces, doors, or even the back of panels without the need for additional mounting plates.

As standard, tGard is IP65-certified and has been developed to fully comply with current machine safety standards.

Emergency stop buttons must be installed at every operating station and at all positions defined by the risk assessment - this is required by EN ISO 13850:2015. An easily accessible emergency stop is mandatory, especially where people interact directly with the machine, e.g. during set-up, loading and unloading.
